Born in New York City and raised in India, Kusum grew up between two worlds — both of them wonderfully delicious. By day she works in fashion, but Kusum & Co. is her creative passion project, born out of necessity: when her son was diagnosed with a tree nut allergy, she couldn't find a granola worth eating without them. So she made her own in her Connecticut home kitchen, weaving in the flavors of her childhood — cardamom, coconut, spices that feel like a memory.

Friends and family kept asking for another bag, and a family recipe slowly grew into something she now shares with others. Her approach is simple: exceptional ingredients, attention to every detail, and something people genuinely enjoy. Around her house, it's known as "good on everything granola" — really good vanilla ice cream, yogurt, with fresh fruit, or straight from the bag.
